Currently the President/CEO of Grow, a company providing development and capacity building services to nonprofit organizations, Stephanie Halley utilizes more than 17 years of experience in the non-profit sector as she works with clients to grow their ability to fulfill their missions. In recent years, Stephanie’s work has included providing coaching services in fundraising and management, designing overall fundraising programs, and conducting feasibility studies for social enterprise and traditional fundraising efforts. Ms. Halley has been schooled in capacity building, fundraising, program design, management, and evaluation. Her background in various program areas (international development, public health, workforce development, and mental health) allows her to contribute to the work of a variety of nonprofits.
Prior to establishing Grow, Stephanie served as Vice President of Development for Goodwill of Greater Washington. With Goodwill, she was fortunate to establish a new development team and to expand the traditional fundraising capacity of the organization. In less than 2 years, the team nearly tripled the fundraising revenue of the organization. She also enjoyed working closely with the Training and Employment Division to ensure strong, quality programming and outcomes measurement.
In addition to her time with Goodwill of Greater Washington, Ms. Halley has served with organizations such as DC’s Department of Employment Services, the Center for Democracy, and the Institute for Mental Health Initiatives at The George Washington University, and Community Wealth Ventures. Clients served through Grow include Urban Alliance and the National Association for Children of Alcoholics, among others. Stephanie graduated from James Madison University with a degree in political science, and studied in the public health master’s program at The George Washington University.
