Sherry Truhlar

Sherry TruhlarAfter her work as a benefit auctioneer landed her on TLC and E! Style cable shows within months of launching her company, Sherry Truhlar reconsidered her plans to return to her corporate event planning job at General Electric.

Today, she’s an award-winning auctioneer who guides Auction Chairs in how to properly plan auction fundraisers for better profitability.

Her approach is used for both silent auctions and live auctions to confidently deliver high returns on donated merchandise.

Despite the recession, 75% of her clients enjoyed record-breaking auctions over the last four years. She’s been quoted or featured in Town & Country, The Washington Post Magazine, The Georgetowner, and AUCTIONEER, and other publications.

She and her team travel nationally to oversee auctions ranging from $8000 to almost $2 million, and thousands of auction planners use her “do-it-yourself” teleclasses and programs to learn new trends to keep their galas fresh.

Sherry lives in the Washington, D.C. suburbs where she enjoys reading, writing, gardening, and taking classes on darn near anything.
