Daniel Neel is recognized by clients and peers alike for his ability to listen, assess an organization’s needs and provide highly-effective and affordable funding solutions for non-profit organizations across the county. However, his real passion and mark of success is his ability to teach, train and transfer the skills and knowledge necessary for those organizations to continue the financial growth vital to expanding their missions.
Most of Daniel’s twenty-eight year professional career has been spent in entrepreneurial leadership positions with the past twelve years serving non-profit organizations across the country, raising more than half a billion dollars to grow their missions. After a fulfilling career organizing and leading an international financial management and investment banking firm in Dallas and New York City, he chose a career of working with faith-based non-profit organizations.
In his capacity as Executive Vice President with the largest fundraising company in the country, Daniel had the opportunity of creating and growing two new business units to serve some of the most notable faith-based organizations in the country. He has spent the past four years successfully building his own firm and continuing the work he loves.
Daniel founded The Fundraising Resource Group to not only meet the immediate needs of an organization, but importantly to provide the platform, training and tools necessary for sustainable long-term growth; in short, to “teach them to fish.”
Daniel is a leader in developing new products and strategies for annual and capital fundraising as well as designing and implementing some of the most successful and comprehensive, multi-level regional and national fundraising programs and campaigns. He has counseled organizations at the highest levels of leadership as well as provided training and guidance for hundreds of volunteers.
Daniel is an expert in integrated, donor-centric fundraising strategies designed to meet the passions and interests of donors. His role in developing and overseeing client service models and working with client organizations to raise hundreds of millions to grow their missions has given Daniel the reputation as a strategic thinker, sensitive to an organization’s culture, and an excellent communicator.
In addition to his success in guiding non-profit leaders and volunteers, he has been responsible for hiring, training and managing numerous professional fundraising consultants who have served hundreds of organizations in their fundraising needs. Daniel has also served on expert panels at professional conferences and led many seminars and training sessions for fundraising professionals, non-profit executives and volunteers across the country.
Daniel currently lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Lee, who is also his business partner, delivering valuable marketing expertise to the clients they serve.
